AUBURNTOWN, Mich., Dec. 20, 2017Amber Waters has a pretty long way to go to make her name as a pop-culture sensation, but that’s the point.
The Detroit native, 25 and from Oakland, California, has emerged as a key performer and actress of the decade, as she’s racked up millions of YouTube views and millions more in ad revenue since landing the role of the iconic blonde bombshell in Netflix’s “Bubble” back in 2018.
That popularity has brought Waters to the attention of “The Voice” star and producer Lisa Loves Movies co-host Candace Cameron Bure, who’s been working with her since the beginning.
As a fan of the “Buffy” and “Angel” TV shows, Loves has been working closely with Waters and her manager and producer, Jason Mazzella, since her debut as Amber Waters in the popular series in 2017.
Now in her second season on the series, the Detroit native is set to debut on the popular “BUBBLE” spinoff, “Amber Wave,” set to premiere on ABC on January 27, 2018.
The “BUNDLE” spin-off will focus on Waters’ life after the departure of her long-time boyfriend, Jason DeMarco, who was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer last year.
The actress, who will play Amber’s mother, said that Amber’s new show will have a similar tone and structure to “BunDle,” but is different in that the storyline is set in Detroit and Amber’s home state of Michigan.
“It’s a really different show than ‘BunDuDle,’ ” Waters said.
“The characters are very different.
It’s a different cast.
It was an exciting experience for me to work with them.
“What they have in common is the struggles of life and the struggles they face. “
They’ve both dealt with issues that are really hard on their family, on their life, on the business side, on that relationship. “

With Amber in the spotlight, Waters will also be the face of the show, and her new character is an inspiration to many other pop-star/actresses, including the “Parks and Recreation” actress and her fiancé, Nick Offerman. “
We are a very different group of people in this new show and the world, but the same story.”

Waters, who has appeared in such TV series as “The Office” and the upcoming “Bumble,” is also a frequent guest on Offerman’s comedy show “The Nick Jr. Show,” where she’s known for her sarcastic and cheeky personality.
“She’s a huge inspiration for me because she’s so smart, she’s such a big character, and she’s a great example of a woman who is a survivor and has so much self-worth,” Waters said of Offerman, whose real name is Nick Offenberg.
“She’s such an incredible person, and so I can relate to what she’s going through.
